Transition Houses

A New Start for Life After Prison

Transition

A Fresh Start After Prison

Daryl and Missy Townsend operate two transition houses dedicated to helping men who found faith in Christ while in prison. These homes give them a stable place to begin their new life after release. Residents receive free room and board until they are able to find employment, ensuring they have the support they need during this challenging transition.
Community

A Community That Strengthens Each Other

Only baptized Christians are invited to live in the transition homes, allowing the men to grow alongside others in similar circumstances. Living together provides ongoing accountability, daily guidance, Bible studies, counseling, and opportunities to integrate into a local church family.

Off The Chain Ministries also provides access to a donated automobile to assist the men with transportation as they rebuild their lives.

Christ

Helping Men Mature in Christ

The two transition houses can serve approximately 9 men at a time. Daryl’s mission is to continue walking with these men as they mature in their faith outside of prison. The transition program operates entirely through the generous donations of individuals who believe in giving men a second chance and a Christ-centered future.
